FAQ
We know destination weddings come with a few extra logistics, so we’ve answered some common questions below to help you plan with ease. If you don’t see your question here, please feel free to reach out!
When should I arrive and depart?
Our wedding events will take place from Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31, 2027. To guarantee the group rate and attend all events, you must stay at the resort for a minimum of 3 nights. We recommend you book your stay from Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday, and strongly advise that you do not travel on the day of the wedding in case of flight delays or cancellations.
Do I have to stay at Dreams Sapphire?
To ensure access to all wedding events, guests are expected to stay at the venue. The surrounding resorts are not walkable to Dreams Sapphire, and transportation is costly and sometimes unreliable. If you do choose to stay at another resort, please notify us with your RSVP so we can make arrangements with the venue.
Is there a room block at the resort?
We will share a discount code as soon as we can. The rooms are not reserved, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible to guarantee your stay.
When should I book my room?
We recommend booking as soon as possible to secure the group rate and your preferred room category. Rooms are limited and will fill up. The discount code will expire 90 days before the wedding.
Do I need a passport?
Yes — a valid passport is required to travel to Mexico. Please make sure your passport does not expire within six months of your travel dates.
What does "all-inclusive" mean?
Your stay at Dreams Sapphire includes accommodations, unlimited food and drinks, entertainment, and most on-site activities — so once you’re there, you can truly relax and enjoy.
Can I bring my kids?
While the resort is family friendly, we prefer that you to leave your little ones at home so you can truly enjoy this weekend getaway. If you wish to bring your child/children and they are not addressed on the invite, please contact us before RSVPing to ensure we have capacity at our wedding events.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to space and planning considerations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests who are formally listed on your invitation at our wedding events. However, you are absolutely welcome to bring additional guests to enjoy the resort with you. If you’re planning to travel with someone not listed on your invitation, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate where possible.
What airport do I fly into and how do I get to the resort?
Cancun International Airport is the closest airport to the resort. It is about a 15-minute drive, and you can schedule a transfer through the resort or book a shuttle from Viator. There will be taxis available at the airport, but scheduled transfers are safer and more reliable.
Is Mexico safe?
Yes — we completely understand the question and want everyone to feel comfortable. Puerto Morelos is a quiet, charming, and very safe beach town, and the resort is gated with 24/7 security and monitored beach access so guests can truly relax.
We have personally stayed at the resort and never once felt concerned about our safety. It’s a well-traveled, tourism-focused destination, and we feel completely confident hosting our wedding here.
How much are rooms?
The nightly rate will vary based on the room category and the number of guests, ranging between $336 to $529 for single occupants and $418 to $529 for double occupants. These rates are only guaranteed when booking directly with the hotel, not through third party sites.
